Certification Requirements
Typical project specifications now read, “The production facility supplying hydraulic cement concrete shall have a current Certification of Ready-Mixed Concrete Production Facilities from the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association, or equivalent.”
Plant certification is recognized as an important part of comprehensive project specifications, ensuring that production facilities are in good operational order and individual materials are measured within the prescribed tolerances.
Our inspector and assistants have been through the qualification process and have been approved by NRMCA to conduct your inspections in Texas and Oklahoma.
Plant certifications are valid for two years from the date of inspection and certification of delivery vehicles is valid for twelve months from the date of inspection.
Inspections include: Material Storage and Handling, Batching Equipment, Dispensers for Liquid Admixtures, Accuracy of Plant Batching, and Delivery Fleet Inspections.
Concrete Quality Control
D&S Engineering Labs offers periodic to complete Quality Control Programs for your operations. We can provide the following:
- Mix Design Review, Submittals, Optimization
- Troubleshooting at your plant or job site
- Statistical Analysis and historical data
- Representation at Pre-Con and other required meetings
- Job site Quality Control and comparison testing with other labs
ACI Certification Training
D&S Engineering now holds training sessions to prepare for the ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician-Grade I certification. In the future we will be offering other training sessions for additional ACI Certifications. We offer these in our Fort Worth laboratory, or we can hold the training at your facility.Plant Certifications

Our highly trained and experienced personnel will come to your plant and perform thorough inspections of your plant and trucks verifying compliance with DOT or other required work where certification is specified.
