Owner and Principal Engineer

Jud Sherman has over 35 years of Construction Materials Engineering Testing and Inspection experience. Prior to founding D&S Engineering, he served as CMT Manager for Clough Harbour and Associates (CHA), Isbell Engineering, and Gee Consultants. He has also provided Construction Inspection for the Greater Texoma Utility Authority, was manager of Maxim Engineer’s Ft Worth office, and served as ready mix concrete manager and as Quality Control manager for Davis Concrete Company and for Gifford Hill Co. In 2010, Jud, along with Charles Davis, purchased the CMT division of CHA, forming D&S Engineering Labs. In 2012, they purchased the Geotechnical Engineering Business from CHA.

Jud has specialized in the CMET management of large commercial, institutional, and paving projects. He has completed hundreds of projects serving as Project Engineer and supervising numerous PE’s, EIT’s, and technicians. Jud has developed close working relationships with municipalities, counties, school districts, architects and engineers. His working relationships provide for continuity and easy dialog regarding testing results and remedial solutions.

Along with his owner and principal engineer responsibilities, Jud is Responsible Engineer in Charge of the Denton, Denison, and Ardmore offices.
